STUDY NOW RECRUITING WOMEN WITH FIBROMYALGIA
A large investigatory research project is underway in Auckland
Kia ora MNZ Members,
Sharon Erdrich is currently recruiting women with fibromyalgia, who commonly seek treatment from massage therapists, for this somewhat extensive investigatory study, which is the basis of her PhD. The FIDGIT Study is focused on the gut-fibromyalgia connection, and also examining RNA (gene expression) and antibodies as well as mould exposure, along with an amalgamation of validated surveys for evaluating symptoms of those with the condition.

Women with fibromyalgia, who are a non-smokers/vapers, without concomitant inflammatory conditions or diabetes, not pregnant or breastfeeding, and are able to visit the study site in Auckland, may be eligible.
The FIDGIT Study is focused on the connections between symptoms of Fibromyalgia, Digestion and the microbiome of the Gastrointestinal Tract.
Participants will need to provide samples of stool, urine, blood, saliva and breath over a 2-3 week period, and complete as a comprehensive survey.
