COVID-19 Protection Framework Update
13 September 2022
Kia ora koutou,
We are sure this is an announcement that many of you have been looking forward to reading for some months now.
It was announced yesterday that the COVID-19 Protection Frameworks (traffic light) would end last night at 11:59pm.
Masks are no longer mandated for massage therapy, unless you are in a healthcare centre, such as a hospital.
Mask wearing is still recommended (but not required) if you work with health compromised and immunosuppressed clients.
Designated premises businesses may still require masks to be worn in shared spaces and this will be an opportune time to engage in professional conversation with your allied health colleagues.
Household contacts are no longer required to isolate for seven days, but it is recommended that a RAT test is taken for five consecutive days.
Sanitising is recommended and we encourage you to remain diligent with sanitising your equipment, rooms, and high touch surfaces.
We hope this is the beginning of returning to life without the many restrictions that have affected so many. If you have any questions, queries, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
