COVID-19 Alert Level Update - Alert Level 4 Auckland, the rest of the country will move to Delta Alert Level 2
7 September 2021
As Auckland remains in Alert Level 4 until next week, the rest of NZ will move to Delta Alert Level 2 at 11.59pm tonight, Tuesday, 7th September. While Massage Therapy businesses in Auckland must remain closed, those in the rest of the country can choose to open while adhering to the new Delta Alert Level 2 restrictions.
The main differences between the previous Alert Level 2 and this one is the use of face masks. The wearing of face masks will be mandatory for Massage Therapists and highly recommended for clients. Record keeping/QR code scanning is also mandatory.
These new protocols have been included in the updated version of the MNZ Health & Hygiene Brief - Preparation for Returning to Work if opening in Delta Alert Level 2. The PDF document is available below:

It is also normal to find these restrictions overwhelming and it is your right to remain closed if you do not feel safe operating at this level.
Residents of Auckland, please continue to check places of interest and follow daily updates. Follow Ministry of Health guidelines if you have been at any of the places of interest at the specified times.
Stay safe and be kind to one another. Get in touch if you need support.
