Meet the Panel


Desiree De Spong, CEO and Founder

Desiree is a leading expert in lymphatic therapy with nearly two decades of clinical experience. As an international educator and speaker, she has significantly advanced the practice of lymphatic therapy through her innovative Lymph Node Release Therapy courses.

Diane Lacey

Diane has been involved in healthcare since 1985, initially as a Registered Nurse specialising in various surgical fields. She transitioned into body therapies in 2003, obtaining a Diploma in Therapeutic Massage and completing postgraduate training in Manual Lymph Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy. Since 2009, Diane has run a private clinic in Auckland, focusing on lymphatic health, and became an instructor with the Dr Vodder School International in 2018.


Hans Lutters

Hans, a qualified Massage & Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Therapist, established the Hands On Clinic in Christchurch after completing his training in the Netherlands. With extensive experience in treating lymphoedema, lipoedema, and chronic pain, Hans specialises in MLD and has developed courses to advance the skills of fellow practitioners. An accredited provider for High Performance Sport New Zealand and the New Zealand Olympic Committee, Hans applies his expertise to both high-performance athletes and individuals with chronic conditions.


Ilse Bergler-Sutherland

Ilse is a qualified instructor in Manual Lymph Drainage and complex decongestive therapy, with credentials as a Medical and Remedial Masseuse under Austrian law. After four years of medical study, she co-founded the Dr. Bergler Massage College, providing training from basic wellness massage to advanced physiotherapy. Currently, she mentors therapists, advises doctors on lymphatic drainage for post-cancer and surgical care, and works part-time with children with special needs.
